Principal Electronics Engineer (m/f/d)
Principal electronics engineer (m/f/d) with 10+ years taking products from idea to series production. Technical lead and multiplier. Remote / Stuttgart.
Your role
- Own the electronics architecture of our products, from the first block diagram to series production
- Make and defend the key technical decisions: architecture, component strategy, EMC concept and manufacturability
- Lead projects technically, from the first client conversation to the transfer into production
- Set our design standards and run schematic and layout reviews
- Grow the team: mentor engineers, challenge their designs and turn your experience into how we work
- Stay hands-on where it matters most: the critical layouts, the hardest bring-ups and the problems nobody else can solve
We build prototypes and products for large and small clients, quickly, pragmatically, and with as little overhead as possible. We're looking for an electronics engineer who has taken many products from first idea into series production, and who wants to make a whole team better.
Most of our team works remotely. We also have a lab and office in Stuttgart, and being on site regularly is a plus.
What to expect
- The role of technical reference for electronics, with real say in how we design, review and build hardware
- A wide range of products and industries instead of one product line for years
- Direct work with clients instead of rigid specification handovers
- A small team with fast decisions and no corporate overhead
To apply
Tell us about two or three products you were responsible for: what your role was and how far you took them (prototype or series production). Feel free to add a layout you're proud of.
Must-have
- 10+ years of full-time professional experience in electronics development
- A track record of several products you owned across the full development process: requirements, architecture, schematic and layout, bring-up, EMC and certification, series production
- PCB design at the highest level: complex multilayer boards, high-speed interfaces, signal and power integrity, EMC by design
- Production experience with EMS partners: you design for manufacturing and testing from the start
- You solve the hard problems in the lab yourself, from measurement to rework
- Fluent in Altium Designer
- Experience mentoring engineers and representing technical decisions in front of clients
- Professional level English and German
Nice-to-have
- Hands-on EMC test lab experience, from pre-compliance to fixing failed tests
- RF design and integration (LoRa, WiFi, LTE, NFC)
- Power electronics and battery management
- Enough embedded C/C++ to write your own bring-up and test firmware
- Based in or near Stuttgart
More important than your CV:
What matters most to us is what you have actually done and can show us, for example your own projects, repos, or things you have built, repaired, or taken apart.
Interested?
Send us a short note about who you are and what you have worked on, and attach your application documents (CV, references, certificates) if you have them ready. No lengthy process required.
